Available for Wholesale Buyers in 2026

The 2025 harvest of the Rosy Red Valencia exceeded our expectations. Suntreat packing house processed and sold all of the fruit to wholesale buyers throughout the United States. Pallets of 88s, 113s, 138s, and 72s (both fancy and choice pack grades) were positively received by the buyers.

The yield from the 2026 will be larger and available for sale next year in the months of May, June, and July. Bee Sweet Citrus packing house will begin harvesting and marketing the Rosy Red in 2026. They will begin by introducing the Rosy Red Valencia at produce marketing conferences in the fall of 2025.

The Rosy Red appeals to specialty grocery markets that want to stand out from the crowd. This brand-new fruit stands out with an exterior blush, rosy red flesh, and pretty rosy red juice. The Rosy Red is a natural choice for grocery stores that offer in-store juicing or for consumers who want to make unique juice drinks or cocktails at home.

    Commercial testing has established that the color of the flesh and juice is lycopene-based and also contains significant levels of beta carotene. The sugar and acid tests reveal a pattern of sugar to acid ratio similar to the Olinda Valencia. The flesh, pith, juice, and rind are all rosy red.

    Boxes of packed fruit sample have been sent to potential buyers and product users. Across the board, the fruit samples were very well received. The Rosy Red provides an opportunity for these businesses to offer consumers a fun and different product.

    Consumer feedback for the Rosy Red has been very positive. Select chefs, bakers, and mixologists have been experimenting with the Rosy Red and have begun formulating recipes for cooking, baking, oils, jams, drinks and cocktails. We look forward to seeing—and tasting—the results.
